This online Marketplace incorporating a Search feature enabled those who work alongside volunteers, such as volunteer-involving organisations, volunteer managers, agencies that routinely involve volunteers (at all levels), and other stakeholders, to find partners online for common projects in the framework of the European Year of Volunteering 2011.
It also enabled organisations to offer volunteering opportunities and for people to search for suitable volunteering experiences. This was an important tool for people wishing to explore volunteering for the first time or experience volunteering in a different sector to the one where they are usually involved.
