The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement publicly thank their 13 million active volunteers who do an outstanding job every day of the year saying that these volunteers are the power of humanity and make the world a better place. In the run-up to 8 May, the ICRC has posted a selection of photos to say "thank you" and highlight the work of Red Cross and Red Crescent volunteers round the world.
