The Social Platform, as a platform of European networks of civil society puts together several networks working on volunteering. Social Platform provides a platform for exchange and networking and has fostered common initiatives and project on the issue. Social Platform as an advocacy organisation, will also strive to put volunteering on the European agenda by participating in relevant fora and also by highlighting the issue in its common positions and letters, more recently in a position related to the impact of the crisis. Social Platform is also committed to participatory democracy and civil dialogue and promotes the values of volunteering in several fields (employment, social inclusion, active citizenship, care, education, etc).
