The official logo and slogan competition for
the European Year of Volunteering 2011

Did you know that 2011 will be the European Year of Volunteering – to celebrate volunteers and the contribution you make to our society?
Do you feel the volunteer spirit? Can you picture what volunteering is in Europe? Do you have an idea for a slogan inspired by the value of volunteering? Do you want to be the one designing the official logo and slogan for a European Year? If the answer is yes, then this is the competition for you!

From 17 August until the 18 September, you can send us your proposal for a logo, and/or a slogan for the European Year of Volunteering 2011. The European Commission has entrusted the European Year of Volunteering 2011 Alliance to run the competition to choose the official logo and slogan for the upcoming European Year of Volunteering 2011 and shortlist 20 logos and slogans from which the winner will be chosen – and the winning proposals used as the official logo and slogan for the Year! This is a unique chance to get famous for your work! The winning design will be used throughout the EU during the EYV 2011. The finalists of the competition will be invited to Brussels on 16 December 2009 where the winner will be announced.
